Issue: On certain motorcycles, the throttle wire could become damaged by the handlebar. As a result, the wire could break and cause the engine to stall while riding. Note: This recall affects both IBEX 800 Sport and IBEX 800 Touring models. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, CFMOTO advises you not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs have been completed. CFMOTO will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to reroute the throttle wire.
- Brakes#2023442
56 units affected
Issue: On certain IBEX 800 Touring motorcycles, the mounting bolt for the right footrest may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the bolt could loosen and interfere with the rear brake pedal. If this happens, you may not be able to apply the rear brake, causing reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause increased stopping distances and create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: CFMOTO will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to remove the right footrest bolt, apply thread-locking compound and retighten it. To reduce the safety risk, CFMOTO recommends not to ride your motorcycle until the recall repairs are completed.
