Certain child car seats may not comply with the requirements of the Canada Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations (RSSR). The instruction manual and the labels affixed to the seat contain various minor translation errors and omissions. Correction: A production change has been undertaken to remedy these technical non-compliance conditions. No corrective recall action is required as the technical non-compliance conditions are deemed to be non-safety related.

On certain infant car seats, the center tab on the chest clip may break off, which could present a choking hazard to an infant in the car seat. Correction: Consumers are advised to call Britax Child Safety, Inc. at 1-833-474-7016 to request a free remedy kit that contains step-by-step instructions as well as a replacement chest clip made from a different material that improves the durability of the tab. • Seats And Restraints#2016010

    3,868 units affected

On certain infant car seats, cracks could form around the carry handle grip. If the cracks lead to the handle breaking, the seat could be dropped, causing potential injury to the infant. Correction: Registered owners will be sent a repair kit. Owners who have not registered their car seat should contact Britax at 1-800-683-2045 or at Britax.Recall@britax.com to obtain a remedy kit. In the interim, owners may continue to use the infant car seat, but the seat should not be lifted or carried by the carry handle until the remedy kit has been installed. Click here for more information
