Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, a carbon monoxide detector may not have been installed during production. As a result, occupants may not be alerted if there's a carbon monoxide buildup inside the trailer. Safety Risk: A buildup of carbon monoxide inside the trailer could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: Bontrager Industries will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to install a carbon monoxide detector.

U.S. NHTSA recalls

Bontrager Outdoors (Bontrager) is recalling certain 2025 Skinny Guy Campers Armor 7LT and Bontrager Outdoors 7ROD trailers. The carbon monoxide detectors may not have been installed.
Risk: Occupants will not be alerted to elevated levels of carbon monoxide, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will install carbon monoxide detectors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 8, 2025. Owners may contact Bontrager's customer service at 1-260-768-7932.
