Issue: On certain motorcycles, the stop lamp will flash during emergency braking. Canadian regulations require the stop lamp to stay on constantly while braking. Safety Risk: A flashing stop lamp could cause confusion for other drivers. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW Motorrad will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to update the stop lamp software, so that the stop lamp does not flash during emergency braking.
