On certain vehicles equipped with factory-installed methane detectors, the sensor wiring circuit protection may be inadequate for the wiring gauge. The wiring harness may also be improperly routed. As a result, a short could occur and the circuit protection could fail to protect the electrical system from damage, potentially resulting in a fire. This could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Sensor wiring routing will be inspected and modified, and a 3 amp fuse installed in place or the original 10 amp fuse.

As a result, the brake pedal could loosen and detach from the mounting bracket, making it difficult to apply the brakes which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and repair affected vehicles.

On certain vehicles equipped with Cummins Westport ISL-G engines, excessive engine crankcase pressure could cause the vent tube assembly elbow to detach from the breather. This could allow engine oil to come in contact with hot surfaces, increasing the risk of fire resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install clamps at both ends of the elbow of the breather tube assembly and reprogram the Electronic Control Module (ECM) to improve diagnostic capabilities.
