Transport Canada recalls
01- Structure#2021661
3 units affected
Issue: On a small number of aerial devices, a weld could interfere with the washers for the bolts that attach the rotation bearing to the pedestal. As a result, the bolts could fail, and the pedestal and turntable could separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A pedestal and turntable that separate from the vehicle could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and provide them with instructions for how to inspect the outer rotation bolt washers for interference with the weld. If there is interference between the washer and the weld, Altec will repair the pedestal, as necessary.
