Issue: On certain digger derricks, the auger stow bracket could crack and detach from the boom. Safety Risk: An auger bracket that detaches could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and instruct you to contact Altec Service to inspect the base boom for cracks. Any cracks will be repaired. If the cracks aren't repairable, the base boom will be replaced. Additionally, a new horizontal auger stow support bracket will be welded to the boom.

Issue: The slope indicator placard on certain digger derricks may have incorrect information. This could make a user think that it is not necessary to level the unit while working on a slope. A unit that is not properly levelled could be unstable. Safety Risk: An unstable derrick unit could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to remove the incorrect slope indicator placard.
