Issue: On certain aerial devices and digger derricks, the final-stage manufacturer's compliance label lists incorrect low tire pressure information. This could lead you to underinflate the tires and could cause poor handling and/or a tire failure. Safety Risk: Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Altec Service to inspect and, if necessary, replace the final-stage manufacturer's compliance label.
- Electrical#2026024
21 units affected
Issue: On certain vehicles, the electronic taillight wiring harness may not have proper circuit protection. Additionally, water could leak into the harness connection. If this happens, the module could short circuit and the wiring could overheat. Safety Risk: A short circuit and/or wiring that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions and a kit for how to inspect and, if necessary, repair the electronic taillight wiring harness.
- Electrical#2024617
23 units affected
Issue: On certain vehicles, the accessory functions may draw too much power from the ignition circuit. As a result, the circuit could be overloaded and the fuse could blow. If this happens, there would be a loss of engine power. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles built on a Freightliner Business Class M2 chassis. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Altec recommends using a maximum of five accessory functions at a time until the recall repairs are completed. Altec will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Altec Service to rewire the accessory circuit.
