    Issue: On certain cranes, the boom lift cylinder hose may not have been plumbed correctly and is not protected by the velocity fuse. This could result in uncontrolled movement of the boom. Safety Risk: Uncontrolled movement of the boom lift could increase the risk of injury to the operator and nearby people. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and instruct them to inspect the boom lift cylinder hose for damage and proper plumbing. Altec Service will repair/correct any units that do not pass the inspection.

    25 units affected

    On certain cranes and digger derricks, the 12-volt circuit wiring from the chassis battery to the Power Distribution Module (PDM) may be undersized. This could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: The PDM wiring will be replaced with the larger gauge wire and the circuit breaker will be be replaced with a lower-rated version.
