  Problème : Sur certains camions de pompiers, les tubes d'admission de carburant entre la rampe d'alimentation et les injecteurs pourraient se fissurer et créer une fuite de carburant. Remarque : Ce rappel ne concerne que les camions d'incendie équipés d'un moteur diesel Cummins X12. Risques pour la sécurité : Une fuite de carburant peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Cummins doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion de pompiers à un centre de service autorisé par Cummins pour faire remplacer les tubes d'admission de carburant des cylindres 4, 5 et 6 et faire installer des amortisseurs de vibrations.

  Problème : Le solénoïde d'embrayage de pompe de certains camions d'incendie pourrait rouiller, cesser de fonctionner, causer une perte d'alimentation du module de commande de pompe et empêcher le passage en mode « pompe ». Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte d'alimentation du module de commande de pompe peut provoquer une chute de la pression d'eau d'extinction d'incendie, retarder les interventions d'urgence et accroître les risques de blessure. Mesures correctives : Spartan Fire signalera le problème aux propriétaires par courrier et leur demandera de se rendre chez un concessionnaire avec leur véhicule, afin que le solénoïde d'embrayage de pompe soit remplacé.

Risques pour la sécurité : Une fuite de carburant peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Spartan Fire doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule à un centre de services Cummins autorisé pour faire inspecter la rampe d'alimentation. Si des dommages sont constatés, la rampe d'alimentation et les canalisations seront remplacés. Si aucun dommage n'est constaté, la rampe d'alimentation sera réassemblée en installant de nouvelles rondelles de compression à l'aide d'un outil spécial.

  Problème : Sur certains camions de pompiers, la conduite d'air du frein de stationnement pourrait se desserrer et se détacher de son raccord. Si cela se produit alors que le véhicule est en mouvement, le frein de stationnement pourrait se serrer sans avertissement. Risques pour la sécurité : Un frein de stationnement qui se serre soudainement pendant la conduite pourrait augmenter les risques de collision. Mesures correctives : Spartan Fire doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule à un atelier de réparation agréé pour faire inspecter et resserrer la conduite du frein de stationnement, si nécessaire.

  Risque: Inability to use the wireless remote controller can hinder firefighting efforts, increasing the risk of injury.

  Correctif: Four Guys will request owners return the affected wireless remote controllers to Akron Brass for a software update, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Four Guys customer service at 1-814-634-8373.

  Risque: If the air line comes out of the fitting while the vehicle is in motion, the park brake can inadvertently be applied and the vehicle could suddenly decelerate, increasing the risk of a crash.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

  Risque: If the air line comes out of the fitting while the vehicle is in motion, the park brake can inadvertently be applied and the vehicle could suddenly decelerate, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: SVI dealers will inspect and properly tighten the park brake control line, free of charge. All of the vehicles will be repaired before being delivered to customers, free of charge.   Risque: An increase in stopping distance increases the risk of crash.

  Spartan Motors USA (Spartan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Emergency Response Gladiator and MetroStar vehicles equipped with an independent front suspension and Koni shocks. The front shocks may separate from their upper mount on the front suspension. The loose shock may contact and damage the steering gear housing, possibly causing a steering fluid leak and a loss of power steering assist.

  Risque: A loss of power steering assist increases the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Spartan will notify owners, and dealers will install brackets to move the cable away from any chafe points, and replace any damaged battery positive cables, free of charge.
