  Problème : Le solénoïde d'embrayage de pompe de certains camions d'incendie pourrait rouiller, cesser de fonctionner, causer une perte d'alimentation du module de commande de pompe et empêcher le passage en mode « pompe ». Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte d'alimentation du module de commande de pompe peut provoquer une chute de la pression d'eau d'extinction d'incendie, retarder les interventions d'urgence et accroître les risques de blessure. Mesures correctives : Spartan Fire signalera le problème aux propriétaires par courrier et leur demandera de se rendre chez un concessionnaire avec leur véhicule, afin que le solénoïde d'embrayage de pompe soit remplacé.

  Dans certains véhicules, la pompe de servodirection pourrait comporter un orifice trop étroit dans le logement du tiroir. Par conséquent, le tiroir pourrait se coincer, ce qui réduirait le débit de liquide de servodirection et pourrait ainsi provoquer une perte intermittente et imprévue du fonctionnement de la servodirection. Une perte intermittente du fonctionnement de la servodirection pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer la pompe de servodirection.

  Risque: Without the control line being pressure-protected, in the event the control line is severed, air may suddenly be lost from the service reservoir system, causing the brakes to apply unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Marion Body Works will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the routing of the control lines, rerouting them into the auxiliary air reservoir as necessary, free of charge.   Spartan Motors USA (Spartan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Emergency Response Gladiator and MetroStar vehicles equipped with an independent front suspension and Koni shocks. The front shocks may separate from their upper mount on the front suspension. The loose shock may contact and damage the steering gear housing, possibly causing a steering fluid leak and a loss of power steering assist.

  Risque: A loss of power steering assist increases the risk of a crash.

  Risque: If the aerial device becomes unstable, the device may fall, increasing the risk of an injury.

  Spartan Motors USA (Spartan) is recalling certain 2011-2019 Emergency Response Gladiator and Metro Star vehicles built into fire apparatus and equipped with tandem axles, drum brakes at the rear axles and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Vehicles with this configuration may have a delay in their brake release, preventing them from complying with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

  Risque: A delay in the brakes releasing may hinder vehicle movement, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Risque: If the EMS cabinets become loose during a crash, the cabinets may become projectiles, increasing the risk of injury.

  Spartan Motors USA (Spartan) is recalling certain 2010-2019 Spartan Emergency Response Gladiator vehicles. The protective sleeve for the cable that connects the battery positive terminal to the alternator can become brittle and allow the cable to chafe and arc.

  Risque: If the battery positive cable arcs, it can increase the risk of a fire.

  Correctif: Spartan will notify owners, and dealers will install brackets to move the cable away from any chafe points, and replace any damaged battery positive cables, free of charge. If the air line were to become disconnected between the lubrication control module and the air reservoir, a loss of air to the air brake system could occur. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Rings securing the valves may corrode over time after exposure to water, causing the ring to fail and the pressure relief valve to open, reducing the water pressure available for fire fighting.

  Risque: A reduction in water pressure may hinder fire fighting efforts, increasing the risk of injury.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

  Risque: If a longer distance is needed to stop the vehicle there would be an increased risk of a crash.
