  Problème : Le présent rappel cible des chauffe-moteurs installés dans certains véhicules ou vendus comme accessoires par des concessionnaires de Toyota ou de Lexus. Le câble des chauffe-moteurs visés pourrait ne pas être adéquatement protégé contre la chaleur et être endommagé par des températures élevées, ce qui pourrait en causer un court circuit, puis la surchauffe ou la fusion, s'il est branché. Mesures correctives : Toyota recommande de cesser immédiatement d'utiliser les chauffe moteurs touchés. Toyota signalera le problème aux propriétaires concernés par courrier et leur demandera d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire, afin que le chauffe-moteur soit désactivé. Pour certains véhicules, les mesures correctives liées au présent rappel sont en cours d'élaboration. Pour d'autres, aucun nouveau chauffe-moteur ne peut être installé, si bien que les propriétaires intéressés s'en verront rembourser le prix d'achat.

  Problème : Sur certains véhicules, une exposition à long terme à une température et à un degré d'humidité absolue élevés, combinée à un cycle de température élevé, pourrait dégrader le produit propulsif contenu dans le coussin gonflable avant du passager. Cela pourrait faire en sorte que le coussin gonflable se déploie avec plus de force qu'à la normale. Si le dispositif de gonflage de coussin gonflable se brisait, des fragments pourraient être projetés vers les occupants du véhicule ou endommager le coussin gonflable, ce qui empêcherait le coussin gonflable de fonctionner adéquatement. Risques : Si le véhicule a un accident nécessitant un déploiement de coussin gonflable, le dispositif de gonflage de coussin gonflable pourrait se briser et créer un risque de blessures. Mesures correctives : Les propriétaires seront avisés par courrier d'apporter leur véhicule à un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le dispositif de gonflage ou module de coussin gonflable avant du passager. Note : Le climat canadien dégrade lentement le produit propulsif. On effectue le présent rappel pour éliminer les risques à venir. On s'attend à ce que les dispositifs de gonflable de coussin gonflable soient remplacés avant que leur fonctionnement ne soit affecté.

  Dans certains véhicules munis de la trousse de freins Toyota Racing Development (TRD), les tuyaux souples en acier inoxydable tressé de frein avant pourraient présenter des signes de fatigue au fil du temps, ce qui causerait des fuites. Une fuite soudaine de liquide pour freins pourrait accroître les distances de freinage, ce qui augmenterait les risques d'accident pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront retirer la trousse de freins TRD et la remplacer par une trousse de freins d'équipement standard pour ce modèle de véhicule.

  Sur certains véhicules, une application non uniforme de graisse durant le processus de fabrication pourrait faire en sorte que le commutateur principal des glaces électriques du côté du conducteur se coince ou cesse de fonctionner en raison d'une usure au niveau d'un point de contact électrique. Cela pourrait permettre l'accumulation de débris entre les points de contact, ce qui pourrait provoquer un court-circuit. En cas de court-circuit, le commutateur pourrait surchauffer, produire de la fumée, fondre et/ou provoquer le déclenchement d'un feu pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter le commutateur principal des glaces électriques du côté du conducteur et appliquer de la graisse spécialisée qui empêche l'accumulation de chaleur, ou remplacer la carte de circuits imprimés du commutateur principal des glaces électriques, selon les besoins.   Certains véhicules ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la Norme de Sécurité des Véhicules Automobiles du Canada 110 – Sélection des pneus et des jantes pour les véhicules automobiles. Ces véhicules pourraient avoir été munis en option de pneus et de roues en alliage avant d'être livrés au client. Les spécifications et les pressions de gonflage des pneus recommandées pour les tailles de pneu et de roue d'origine, et la taille de pneu et de roue optionnels, sont différentes. Une étiquette de chargement de pneu de rechange pourrait ne pas avoir été fournie lorsque les pneus et roues ont été posés en option. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser une étiquette de chargement de pneu de rechange.

  Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2010-2016 4Runner, 2003-2006 Tundra, 2003-2013 Corolla, 2009-2010 Corolla Matrix, 2004-2005 RAV4, 2002-2007 Sequoia, 2011-2013 Sienna, 2008-2012 Scion xB, 2008-2009 Lexus IS-F, 2007-2012 Yaris and Lexus ES350, 2010-2017 Lexus GX460, 2002-2010 Lexus SC430, 2006-2012 Lexus IS250 and IS350 and 2010-2015 Lexus IS250C and IS350C vehicles. These vehicles had their driver or passenger frontal air bag inflators previously replaced under a prior recall using inflators of the same design. The inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.

  Risque: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

  Correctif: Toyota will notify owners. Depending on the vehicle model, dealers will replace the front driver inflator, front passenger airbag inflator, the airbag assembly, or the front passenger airbag sub-assembly and inflator. The recall began November 20, 2019. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. Toyota's numbers for this recall are J0A, J0B, and J0C.   Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain Toyota Racing Development (TRD) brake kits, part numbers PTR09-21111 and PTR09-52080, sold by Toyota as an optional accessory for model year 2008-2015 Scion xB, and 2011-2016 Scion tC vehicles. Over time, the brake hoses in these kits may fatigue and fail.

  Risque: Failure of a brake hose will reduce braking performance and increase the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Toyota will notify all known owners of the Scion xB and Scion tC vehicles upon which an involved optional TRD Brake Kit could have been installed. If the vehicle is equipped with one of the TRD brake kits, it will be replaced with a standard equipment brake kit, free of charge. The recall began November 16, 2018.   Toyota Motor Company (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2009-2011 Tundra, Sequoia, Corolla, Corolla Matrix and Scion xB, 2008-2011 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid, 2007 Camry and Camry Hybrid, 2009 Camry and Camry Hybrid, 2006-2011 RAV4, 2006-2010 Yaris, and 2009-2010 Scion xD and Pontiac Vibe vehicles. During the manufacturing of the Power Window Master Switch (PWMS), grease lubricant may have been inconsistently applied to the sliding electrical contacts.

  Risque: If the sliding electrical contacts are not protected by lubricant, debris and moisture that get into the switch may cause a short circuit and the switch assembly may overheat and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.

  Correctif: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the switch, applying a lubricant if no abnormality is found. If abnormality is found, the PWMS circuit board will be replaced, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 20, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.   Southeast Toyota is recalling certain model year 2008 and 2010-2013 Toyota Tundra, 2010-2012 Rav4, 2012 Toyota Sequoia, 2010-2011 Toyota Corolla, 2010-2011 Toyota Camry and Camry Hybrid, 2010-2013 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid, 2010-2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser, 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser, 2010-2013 Toyota Venza, 2010-2011 Toyota 4Runner, 2010-2013 Toyota Tacoma, 2011-2012 Toyota Sienna, 2012 Toyota Prius, 2013 Scion FR-S, 2011 Scion XD, 2011 Scion XB, and 2012 Scion TC vehicles. These vehicles were sold with labels that were outside the allowable one percent of accuracy of actual weight added. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

  Risque: An inaccurate label could lead to owners overloading their vehicles and tires. An overloaded vehicle can result in a tire failure which may result in a vehicle crash, personal injury, or property damage.

  Correctif: Southeast Toyota will notify owners and provide a corrected label with instructions concerning its installation. A small group of the affected vehicles will need additonal remedies which are still being developed. The recall began on May 28, 2013. Owners may contact Southeast Toyota at 1-800-301-6859.
