  Problème : Dans certaines conditions, après le nivellement automatique du camion de pompiers, un problème logiciel pourrait faire en sorte que le voyant du système de fermeté au sol reste allumé même si le stabilisateur arrière perd le contact avec le sol. Par conséquent, le camion de pompiers pourrait se déplacer lors de l'utilisation du dispositif aérien. Remarque : Ce rappel ne concerne que certains camions de pompiers équipés d'un essieu arrière simple. Risques pour la sécurité : Un camion de pompiers qui bouge pendant l'utilisation du dispositif aérien pourrait créer un risque de blessure. Mesures correctives : Pierce doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions sur la façon de mettre à jour le logiciel du véhicule et d'effectuer une vérification du fonctionnement du dispositif aérien. Les propriétaires peuvent également prendre rendez-vous chez un concessionnaire Pierce pour faire effectuer la mise à jour logicielle.

  Problème : Dans certains véhicules, la rampe d'alimentation pourrait se mettre à fuir. Remarque : Le présent rappel ne vise que les véhicules équipés d'un moteur diesel Cummins L9 ou ISX12. Risques pour la sécurité : Une fuite de carburant peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Cummins doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule à un centre de services Cummins autorisé pour faire inspecter la rampe d'alimentation. Si des dommages sont constatés, la rampe d'alimentation et les canalisations seront remplacés. Si aucun dommage n'est constaté, la rampe d'alimentation sera réassemblée en installant de nouvelles rondelles de compression à l'aide d'un outil spécial.

  Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2015-2026 Arrow XT, Enforcer, Impel, and Velocity 107’ ladder and 110’ platform aerial firetrucks equipped with a single rear axle. The firm-on-ground system light may remain illuminated after the rear stabilizer loses contact with the ground.

  Risque: A false firm-on-ground indicator light may lead to using the aerial device when the vehicle may shift during aerial operation, increasing the risk of injury.

  Correctif: Pierce will provide instructions on how to update the vehicle software and perform an aerial device functional check, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2026. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723.

  Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Velocity, Impel, Enforcer, and Arrow XT 110-foot aerial trucks. When the aerial platform is extended to its maximum angle, the platform mounting bracket may interfere with the basket handrail hinge peg and cause the handrail to detach from the basket.

  Risque: A basket handrail that unexpectedly detaches from the basket may increase the risk of injury to first responders using the handrail or to individuals on the ground near the vehicle.

  Correctif: Dealers will install new basket handrail hinge pegs, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 16, 2023. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723. Pierce's number for this recall is 74B326.

  Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2017-2021 Arrow XT, Enforcer, Impel, Quantum, Saber, and Velocity vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

  Risque: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

  Correctif: Dealers will inspect the rail threads and fuel lines, and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters were mailed to owners on June 24, 2021. Owner notification letters were mailed July 30, 2021. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723.

  Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling 2020 Arrow XT, Impel, and Enforcer vehicles equipped with battery-powered 3600 wireless remote controller units used to control the movement of electric firefighting monitors in firefighting vehicles. The monitor is used to direct the water stream and adjust the spray pattern. The wireless remote controller's sleep mode is disabled, and results in the batteries discharging faster than normal.

  Risque: Inability to use the wireless remote controller may hinder the firefighting efforts, increasing the risk of injury.

  Correctif: Pierce will notify owners, and dealers will return the affected controllers to Akron Brass for a software update, free of charge. The recall began on February 22, 2021. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723.

  Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Arrow XT, Dash, Enforcer, Impel, Quantum, and Velocity vehicles. Due to a problem with the joystick controller, the vehicle's aerial device may move without operator input.

  Risque: Unintended movement of the aerial device can increase the risk of injury.

  Correctif: Pierce will notify owners, and dealers will replace the potentially affected joysticks, free of charge. The recall began October 20, 2020. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723.

  Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Arrow XT, Enforcer, Impel, and Velocity Emergency fire emergency vehicles built with a 107 foot or 110 foot aerial device. A rectangular tube in the upper mid-section of the aerial device may develop cracks and corrosion, possibly causing one of the tube walls to fail and the aerial device to become unsteady.

  Risque: The failed tube may cause the aerial device to fall, increasing the risk of injury.

  Correctif: Pierce will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for the presence of cracks and/or evidence of corrosion. If no cracks or corrosion is found, the tube will receive a treatment to prevent rust corrosion. If cracks or corrosion is present, the upper mid section of the device will be replaced.
