  Problème : Sur certains autobus de transport en commun, l'étiquette de conformité mentionne des informations erronées concernant le système de gaz naturel comprimé (GNC). Il s'agit notamment du volume total d'eau, de la date de vérification du système et de la date « ne pas remplir après ». De plus, les étiquettes pourraient ne pas contenir d'informations en français. Par conséquent, les informations erronées ou manquantes pourraient causer de la confusion et vous amener à remplir le système au-delà de la capacité et/ou de la date de remplissage indiquées. Remarque : Ce rappel ne vise que les autobus équipés d'un moteur au gaz naturel comprimé (GNC). Risques pour la sécurité : Un système GNC rempli au-delà de sa capacité et/ou après la date de remplissage peut augmenter le risque de blessure. Mesures correctives : New Flyer doit aviser les propriétaires par courriel et leur fournir des nouvelles étiquettes ainsi que des instructions pour les installer.

  Sur certains autobus, le logiciel du module de commande Electric Transit Operator (ETO) qui contrôle la porte de sortie pour passagers arrière pourrait contenir une erreur. Par conséquent, le module de commande ETO pourrait produire un couple de sortie plus élevé que nécessaire lorsque la porte est en position entièrement ouverte, ce qui pourrait briser les plaques à galets de la porte au fil du temps. En cas de défaillance des plaques à galets, la porte arrière pourrait s'ouvrir de façon imprévue pendant que l'autobus est en mouvement, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures pour les occupants du véhicule ou causerait des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront reprogrammer le module de commande ETO, ainsi que remplacer les deux plaques à galets de la porte arrière par des plaques à galets plus robustes.

  Sur certains autobus, le logiciel installé qui contrôle le système de commande électronique des portes pourrait être incorrect. La programmation du logiciel dans le système de commande pourrait mal interpréter l'état opérationnel des portes dans le système multiplex du véhicule. Si le conducteur actionne la commande d'ouverture des portes pendant une accélération de l'autobus après un arrêt, cela pourrait causer la réouverture des portes pour passagers. Si cela se produit pendant que le véhicule est en mouvement, un occupant pourrait tomber du véhicule et subir des blessures. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront mettre à jour le logiciel du véhicule.

  Sur certains véhicules munis d'un moteur Cummins Westport ISL-G, une pression excessive dans le carter du moteur pourrait causer le détachement du coude du tube de mise à l'air libre du reniflard. Cela pourrait permettre à de l'huile moteur d'entrer en contact avec des surfaces chaudes, ce qui augmenterait les risques de déclenchement d'un feu pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront installer des colliers aux deux extrémités du coude du tube de reniflard, ainsi que reprogrammer le module de commande électronique en vue d'améliorer les capacités de diagnostic.

  New Flyer of America, Inc. (New Flyer) is recalling certain 2013-2022 XDE35, XDE40, XDE60, XE40, XN40, 2017-2022 XE60, 2014-2022 XT40 and XT60 transit buses equipped with a double tilt steering column. The steering column connection to the upper steering shaft may become loose.

  Risque: A loose steering shaft can cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

  New Flyer of America, Inc. (New Flyer) is recalling certain 2015-2017 New Flyer XD40 and XN60, 2015 XD60 and XDE40 and 2013-2017 XN40 vehicles, equipped with certain Kidde Technologies, Inc. (KTI) KDS-25 fire extinguishers as part of the optional fire suppression system. The actuator of the extinguisher may not function properly, preventing the fire extinguisher from discharging the fire suppression agent in the event of a fire.

  Risque: If the fire suppression system does not work as intended, it can increase the risk of injury in the event of a fire.

  Correctif: New Flyer has notified owners, and KTI will inspect the fire suppression systems and replace the electrical piston actuators, as necessary, free of charge.   New Flyer Industries Ltd. (New Flyer) is recalling certain model year 2013 C40LFR, XN35, 2014-2016 XD35, XD60, XDE40, 2015-2016 XD40, XDE60, 2014 XDE35, 2013-2015 XE40, 2013-2016 XN40, XN60, and 2014-2015 XT40, and XT60 transit buses. These buses have an Electric Transit Operator (ETO) controller that controls the bus door motor function which may have a software defect which can cause failure of the rear door guide roller linkage resulting in a bus' rear door opening unexpectedly while the bus is in motion.

  Risque: If the rear bus door opens unexpectedly while the bus is in motion, there is an increased risk of injury for the passengers.

  Correctif: New Flyer will notify owners, and dealers will install a firmware upgrade, and replace the roller bracket plates, free of charge. The recall began on May 4, 2016. Owners may contact New Flyer customer service at 1-204-224-6706. New Flyer's number for this recall is R16-005.

(New Flyer) is recalling certain model year 2015 New Flyer MD30, 2012 C35LFR, 2010-2011 D35LFR, NABI 35LFW, 2011 D40LFR, 2010-2012 D60LFR and NABI 31LFW, 2010 C40LF, DE35LF, D40LF, DE40LFA, DE60LFA, GE35LFR and GE40LF, 2009 DE60LF and GE40LFR, 2010-2013 C40LFR, DE60LFR, NABI 416 and NABI 60BRT, 2010-2015 XD35, XDE40, NABI 40LFW and 42BRT, 2011-2015 XD40 and XN40, 2013-2015 XD60, XDE60 and XN35, 2010-2014 XDE35, 2013 XE40, 2012-2015 XN60, equipped with certain Recaro Ergo-M Commercial Bus Driver Seats. The affected seats have J-Brackets that may be missing welds which could allow the seat belt anchorage assembly to separate from the J-Bracket.

  Risque: If the seatbelt anchorage assembly separates from the J-Bracket, the bus driver may not be properly restrained in the event of a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

  Correctif: New Flyer will notify owners instructing them to inspect their seats for missing welds. Recaro will supply replacement anchorage brackets and cover the labor to replace them if any welds are missing, free of charge. The recall began on February 4, 2016.   New Flyer Industries Ltd. (New Flyer) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 New Flyer XDE40 and XD40, 2014 XD60, XN35 and XN60, 2015 XDE35, and 2013-2015 XN40 transit buses. The affected vehicles may be equipped with an improperly torqued front axle center link retaining clamp on the tie rod. As a result, the tie rod may disconnect, causing a loss of steering.

  Risque: A loss of steering increases the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: New Flyer will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles to verify that the center link retaining clamp is properly torqued. Any components displaying play or movement will be replaced. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on October 1, 2015.   New Flyer Industries Ltd. (New Flyer) is recalling certain model year 2013 C40LFR, XE40, XN35, and XN60, 2014 XD35, XDE40, and XT60, 2014-2015 XD60, and XT40, 2013-2014 XDE35, and XN40, and 2015 XDE60 transit buses. These vehicles have door controller assemblies that may have a software defect which can cause the rear passenger doors to open, without warning, when the bus accelerates from a stopped position.

  Risque: If the rear bus door opens while the bus is in motion, there is an increased risk of injury for the passengers.

• ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE#15V292000en anglais seulement18 mai 2015

  New Flyer Industries Ltd. (New Flyer) is recalling certain model year 2009-2012 C35LFR, 2008-2013 C40LF, 2008-2013 C40LFR, 2009 L40LFR, 2009 C35LF, 2013-2014 XN35, 2011-2014 XN40, and 2012-2014 XN60 buses, equipped with certain Cummins Westport ISL G engines. Excessive engine crankcase pressures may cause the 90-degree elbow of the vent tube assembly to detach from the crankcase ventilation breather, possibly allowing engine oil to come into contact with hot surfaces.

  Risque: If the engine oil comes into contact with hot surfaces, it can increase the risk of a vehicle fire.

  Correctif: Cummins will notify owners on behalf of New Flyer, and Cummins service centers will administer the repairs which include securing the ends of the 90-degree elbow and reprogramming the electronic control module (ECM) with software that can adjust the engine output under misfire conditions to limit crankcase pressures.   New Flyer Industries Ltd. (New Flyer) is recalling certain model year 2013 XD35, XDE35, XE40, and 2013-2014 XD40, XD60, XDE40, XDE60, XN35, XN40, and XN60 transit buses. During installation, the Brake Pedal Mounting Plate may have been clamped between the Brake Pedal Assembly and the Brake Valve Actuator (BVA) resulting in a misalignment and binding of the internal piston in the BVA.

  Risque: The binding of the piston may result in increased resistance while applying the brakes and the potential for brake drag once the brake pedal is released. These conditions increase the risk of a crash.
