  Problème : Sur certaines remorques, les supports de plancher sous la zone de chargement des chevaux peuvent se briser et se détacher et possiblement entrer en contact avec les essieux ou la suspension. Risques pour la sécurité : Des supports de plancher de remorque qui se détachent peuvent affecter la maniabilité et la stabilité du véhicule, ce qui augmente les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Le constructeur doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'apporter leur remorque chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et remplacer les supports de plancher en aluminium au besoin. Une structure supplémentaire sera également ajoutée.

Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront effectuer une inspection, ainsi que des réparations au besoin.

  Les boulons utilisés pour installer les rampes arrière, les rampes latérales et les portes de rampe de certaines remorques pourraient se briser. Si les boulons venaient à briser, les rampes et/ou les portes de rampe pourraient devenir lâches lorsque la remorque est en mouvement, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques de collisions causant des blessures et/ou des dommages matériels. Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires doivent installer des boulons différents pour s'assurer que les rampes et les portes de rampe soient bien fixées à la remorque.

  Lakota Corporation (Lakota) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Colt 6-foot 9-inch wide horse trailers. The aluminum axle carrier may be too weak to and begin to tear.

  Risque: If the carrier begins to tear, the stability of the trailer may be affected, increasing the risk of crash.

  Correctif: Lakota will notify owners, and dealers will add additional aluminum structure to reinforce the trailers, free of charge. The recall began July 25, 2019. Owners may contact Lakota customer service at 1-574-848-1636.

  Lakota Corporation (Lakota) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Lakota Bighorn, Charger, Colt and Livestock Edition trailers. The affected vehicles have incorrect tire data listed on the Federal Placard, possibly resulting in the tires being overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply to with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110 "Tire Selection and Rims," as well as 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

  Risque: If the vehicle is loaded to the limit provided on the label, the tires could fail, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Lakota will notify owners, and dealers will provide new placards with the correct weight capacity data listed, free of charge. The recall began March 18, 2019. Owners may contact Lakota customer service at 1-574-848-1636.

  Lakota Corporation (Lakota) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Lakota Bighorn, Charger and Colt trailers equipped with a 6 or 8 cubic foot refrigerator installed in main living area with a roof vent. The refrigerator roof vent may be blocked by insulation.

  Risque: A blocked roof vent may increase the risk of a fire or can cause carbon monoxide to enter the living quarters increasing the risk of injury.

  Correctif: Lakota has notifiedy owners, and dealers will inspect the vent to make sure that it is not blocked, correcting it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began September 25, 2018. Owners may contact Lakota customer service at 1-574-848-1636.

  Lakota Corporation (Lakota) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Bighorn, Charger, and Colt trailers. The bolts that secure the ramps on these trailers may come loose or break during use or while moving.

  Risque: If the ramp loosens or detaches during use or while moving, it can increase the risk of injury or a crash.

  Lakota Corporation (Lakota) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Bighorn, Charger and Colt horse and livestock trailers equipped with a rear ramp option. These trailers may be missing the nuts and bolts through the ramp channel that go into the rear of trailer C channel, allowing the rear ramp to detach while moving.

  Risque: If the ramp comes loose while moving, it can increase the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Lakota has notified owners, and dealers will drill holes, and install the bolts and lock nuts to secure the ramp, free of charge. The recall began on May 9, 2018. Owners may contact Lakota helpdesk at 1-574-848-1636.
