  Sur certaines caravanes classiques munis d'extincteurs Kidde à poignée et à robinet en plastique noir, les extincteurs pourraient se boucher ou nécessiter une force excessive pour être actionnés. De plus, la buse pourrait se séparer du robinet avec assez de force pour causer des blessures, et empêcher le fonctionnement de l'extincteur. En cas d'incendie, une défaillance de l'extincteur pourrait causer des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les propriétaires recevront des instructions sur la manière d'inspecter l'extincteur afin de vérifier s'il fait l'objet d'un rappel. Des extincteurs de rechange seront fournis directement par Kidde. En cas de court-circuit, le câblage pourrait surchauffer et déclencher un feu, ce qui pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures ou de dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le dispositif d'éclairage actuel par un dispositif d'éclairage différent qui comprend une protection contre les surtensions intégrée.

  Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC (Heartland) is recalling certain 2010-2011 Elkridge, North Country, North Trail FW, 2011 Big Country, Bighorn, Caliber, Country Ridge, Cyclone, Edge, Focus, Graystone, Landmark, MPG, North Trail TT, Road Warrior, Sundance, Sundance TT, Sundance XLT FW, Sundance XLT TT, Trail Runner, 2018 Fuel TT, 2016-2018 Sundance XLT TT, and Torque TT recreational vehicles, equipped with certain Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.   Risque: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

  Correctif: Heartland will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018.   Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC (Heartland) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Wilderness and Mallard travel trailers, 2015-2017 Elkridge fifth wheel travel trailers, and 2017 Sundance and Torque travel trailers. The affected vehicles have an LED light on the front cap of the camper that may short circuit and overheat.

  Risque: If the light overheats there would be an increased risk of a fire.

  Correctif: Heartland will notify owners, and dealers will replace the light with one that has built-in voltage protection. The recall began on September 1, 2016. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032.

  Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC (Heartland) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Torque travel trailers, models T31 and T32, manufactured December 15, 2015, to March 16, 2016. The affected vehicles are equipped with safety chains on the A-frame that are rated for 11,700 lbs instead of being rated equal to, or greater than, the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the travel trailer

  Risque: In the event the main trailer connection fails, the weight of the trailer can break the safety chains if the chains are not strong enough, allowing the trailer to separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Heartland will notify owners, and dealers will replace the existing safety chains with chains that have a 16,200 pound rating, free of charge. The recall began on April 21, 2016. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032 or by email at parts@heartlandrvs.com.
