  Problème : L'exposition à long terme à une humidité et à une température absolues élevées, combinées à des cycles à haute température, peuvent éventuellement dégrader le gaz contenu dans le coussin gonflable du côté conducteur. Le coussin gonflable pourrait ainsi être déployé avec plus de force que la normale. Si le dispositif de gonflement se brise, des fragments pourraient être projetés vers les occupants du véhicule et endommager le coussin gonflable, ce qui l'empêcherait de fonctionner adéquatement. Risques pour la sécurité : Si le véhicule est impliqué dans un accident nécessitant le déploiement des coussins gonflables, le dispositif de gonflement pourrait se briser et engendrer des risques de blessures. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste. Les mesures correctives pour ce rappel sont en cours d'élaboration. Remarque : Ce rappel est effectué par mesure de précaution afin de parer aux risques futurs. On s'attend à ce que tous les coussins gonflables soient remplacés avant que leur fonction ne soit affectée.

  Problème : Sur certains véhicules, une exposition à long terme à une température et à un degré d'humidité absolue élevés, combinée à un cycle de température élevé, pourrait dégrader le produit propulsif contenu dans le coussin gonflable avant du passager. Cela pourrait faire en sorte que le coussin gonflable se déploie avec plus de force qu'à la normale. Si le dispositif de gonflage de coussin gonflable se brisait, des fragments pourraient être projetés vers les occupants du véhicule ou endommager le coussin gonflable, ce qui empêcherait le coussin gonflable de fonctionner adéquatement. Risques pour la sécurité : Si le véhicule a un accident nécessitant un déploiement de coussin gonflable, le dispositif de gonflage de coussin gonflable pourrait se briser et créer un risque de blessures. Mesures correctives : Les propriétaires seront avisés par courrier d'apporter leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire Ford ou Lincoln pour faire remplacer le dispositif de gonflage de coussin gonflable avant du passager. Note : Le climat canadien dégrade lentement le produit propulsif. On effectue le présent rappel pour éliminer les risques à venir. On s'attend à ce que les dispositifs de gonflable de coussin gonflable soient remplacés avant que leur fonctionnement ne soit affecté. Autre remarque : Le présent rappel remplace les rappels 2016-347 (programme volontaire d'amélioration de la sécurité de Ford 16S26), 2017-024 (rappel de Ford 17S01) et 2018-035 (rappel de Ford 18S01). Les véhicules réparés lors des rappels précédents ne nécessitent pas de réparation en vertu du présent rappel.

  Certains axes de moyeu de roue ACDelco Advantage, fabriqués par Bearing Technologies Ltd., contiennent un défaut qui pourrait avoir une incidence sur la sécurité du véhicule. Les axes comportent des goujons à épaulements saillants surdimensionnés qui pourraient rendre le montage de la pièce difficile avec certains rotors de frein du marché secondaire (les rotors d'origine ne sont pas concernés). Si l'on ignorait cette difficulté de montage, le défaut pourrait faire vibrer le véhicule ou faire osciller la roue à laquelle le moyeu est fixé. Si le conducteur n'immobilisait pas le véhicule, cela pourrait causer une perte de contrôle du véhicule. Les pièces visées sont les axes de moyeu de roue ACDelco Advantage, numéro de pièce 19360602 (BR930676K), vendus entre le 21 novembre 2016 et le 2 octobre 2017. Les pièces fabriquées avec ces goujons ont n'importe lequel des codes de LOT suivants gravés sur la face de l'axe : FH38, FJ38, FN38, FP38, FS38, FV38, FY38, FZ38 et HC38. Ces pièces peuvent être posées exclusivement sur les modèles énumérés dans le présent avis. Ford remplacera le générateur de gaz du coussin gonflable du conducteur ou du passager des véhicules touchés, selon le type de véhicule.   Sur certains véhicules immatriculés et exploités dans des endroits où l'on utilise du sel de voirie sur les routes durant les mois d'hiver pendant de longues périodes (Ontario, Québec, Nouveau-Brunswick, Nouvelle-Écosse, Île-du-Prince-Édouard et Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador), de la corrosion pourrait se former sous les supports de renfort du réservoir de carburant au niveau du joint de soudure. Par conséquent, un petit trou pourrait se former dans le réservoir de carburant, ce qui causerait la libération des vapeurs de carburant ou une fuite de carburant. Un voyant d'anomalie pourrait s'allumer et/ou on pourrait observer une odeur de carburant ou du carburant liquide. Une fuite de carburant, en présence d'une source d'inflammation, pourrait causer le déclenchement d'un feu pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter le réservoir de carburant et, au besoin, le réparer ou le remplacer. Remarque : Le présent rappel s'ajoute au rappel 2014-482.

  Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2007-2011 Ranger, 2006-2012 Fusion, Lincoln Zephyr, Lincoln MKZ, 2006-2011 Mercury Milan, 2007-2010 Ford Edge, and Lincoln MKX vehicles. The driver's side air bag inflator may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.

  Risque: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.

  Correctif: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver-side airbag inflator or module with an alternate one, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 9, 2021 for the passenger side, and November 14, 2022 for the driver side. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. These vehicles may be equipped with a driver or passenger frontal air bag inflator used as a replacement service part, that may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.

  Risque: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the frontal air bag, an inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

  Correctif: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the driver and passenger air bag module, and replace either the module or the inflator, if necessary, free of charge.   Bearing Technologies Ltd (Bearing) is recalling certain Duralast Wheel Spindles, part number DL930676K, sold as a service part for the front wheel hub spindle of 2007-2010 Ford Edge vehicles. The affected wheel spindles have wheel mounting studs with an oversized shoulder that can prevent the wheel from being installed correctly.

  Risque: If the wheel is installed incorrectly, the wheel may vibrate or wobble, increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: Bearing will notify the distributors of the spindles. If the studs on a defective spindle are not loose, Bearing will replace the studs at no charge. If the studs on a defective spindle are loose, Bearing will replace the spindle assembly at no charge. Bearing will also pay shop labor for the remedy. The recall began on October 16, 2017. Ford mailed interim letters informing owners that parts are not yet available on July 15, 2016. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available. • FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY#15V712000en anglais seulement27 octobre 2015

  Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 Ford Edge vehicles manufactured September 11, 2008, to July 1, 2010, and Lincoln MKX vehicles manufactured September 23, 2008, to July 1, 2010, originally sold in, or currently registered in, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. Due to corrosion from salt water exposure such as from road salt use, the affected vehicles may leak fuel from the fuel tank seam weld under the tank mounting reinforcement brackets.

  Risque: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

  Correctif: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and either clean and treat the fuel tank with a corrosion preventative or replace the tank, free of charge.
