  Dans certains véhicules, le module de détection et de diagnostic (SDM), qui contrôle le déclenchement des coussins gonflables et des prétendeurs de ceintures de sécurité, contient un défaut logiciel qui pourrait empêcher le déclenchement des coussins gonflables et des prétendeurs de ceintures de sécurité avant dans certaines circonstances. Si ces éléments ne se déclenchent pas lors d'un accident (lors duquel leur déclenchement est nécessaire), cela pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures. Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront reprogrammer le module de détection et de diagnostic (SDM) à l'aide d'un nouveau logiciel. Dans les véhicules dont l'historique de ce module indique un déclenchement ou plus, les concessionnaires devront remplacer le module de détection et de diagnostic (SDM) existant par un nouveau module contenant le logiciel le plus récent.   Certains véhicules pourraient ne pas se conformer à la norme de sécurité des véhicules automobiles du Canada (NSVAC) 114 - Protection contre le vol et immobilisation, ou à la NSVAC 118 - Systèmes de glace, de séparation et de toit ouvrant à commande électrique. Une épissure dans la portière du conducteur pourrait se corroder et se briser, ce qui permettrait aux vitres électriques et au toit ouvrant (le cas échéant) de fonctionner temporairement sans la clé, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures pour les occupants non supervisés. Cela pourrait aussi mettre hors­service l'alarme sonore si la clé était dans le contact, ce qui augmenterait les risques de vol ou de dommages à des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires doivent inspecter le faisceau de câbles de portière et poser une épissure si nécessaire.

  Sur certains véhicules, les freins avant pourraient avoir été munis de rotors arrière. Pendant le freinage, une plus grande quantité de chaleur serait alors produite par les rotors arrière plus minces, ce qui diminuerait grandement la durée de vie des plaquettes. Pendant que les plaquettes et les rotors s'useraient, les plaquettes extérieures pourraient se détacher, ce qui diminuerait le rendement des freins et augmenterait les risques d'accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les deux rotors avant et poser de nouveaux rotors et de nouvelles plaquettes si nécessaire.

  General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Buick Lacrosse and Chevrolet Spark EV, Caprice PPV and SS vehicles, 2014-2017 Buick Encore and Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles, 2015-2016 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Tahoe, Trax, Suburban and Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles, and 2015-2017 GMC Sierra HD 2500 and 3500 vehicles. While being previously remedied for recall 16V-651, the affected vehicles may not have received the complete software update necessary to remedy the recall condition. Without the update, certain driving conditions may cause the air bag sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) software to activate a diagnostic test. During this test, deployment of the frontal air bags and the seat belt pretensioners would not occur in the event of a crash.

  Risque: A failure of the front air bags or seat belt pretensioners to deploy in the event of a crash necessitating deployment increases the risk of injury to the driver and front passenger.

  Correctif: GM will notify owners, and dealers will reflash the SDM software. Vehicles that have had a previous air bag deployment will have the SDM replaced. These repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall began on August 4, 2017.   General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014 Buick LaCrosse vehicles manufactured April 30, 2013, to September 1, 2013. In the affected vehicles, a wiring splice in the driver's door may corrode and break, resulting in the absence of an audible chime to notify the driver if the door is opened while the key is in the ignition. Additionally, the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) module may stay active for ten minutes allowing the operation of the passenger windows, rear windows, and sunroof. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention," and 118, "Power-Operated Window, Partition, and Roof Panel Systems."

  Risque: Without an audible indicator, the driver may not be aware that the driver's door is open while the key is in the ignition, increasing the risk of a vehicle rollaway. If the passenger windows, rear windows, and sunroof can function when the vehicle is turned off and the driver is not in the vehicle, there is an increased risk of injury if an unsupervised occupant operates the power closures.

  Correctif: GM will notify owners and dealers will inspect the driver door window motor harness, and replace the electrical splice, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began August 2014. • SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC#14V240000en anglais seulement8 mai 2014

  General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014 Buick Lacrosse vehicles manufactured January 29, 2014, through March 31, 2014 and 2014 Chevrolet Malibu vehicles manufactured February 7, 2014, through March 31, 2014, and equipped with 17 inch front brake rotors. The affected vehicles may have had brake rotors intended for the rear of the car accidentally installed on the front. The rear rotors, while the same diameter, are thinner and may result in a front brake pad detaching from the caliper.

  Risque: If a brake pad detaches from caliper, there may be a sudden reduction in braking, lengthening the distance required to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

  Correctif: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front brake rotors, and install the correct rotors with new brake pads, as necessary, free of charge. • POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION#14V092000en anglais seulement21 février 2014

  General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014 Buick Regal, LaCrosse, Verano, and Enclave, and Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, Cruze, and Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions. In the affected vehicles, the transmission shift cable adjuster may disengage from the transmission shift lever. As such, these vehicles do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect." They also fail to conform to FMVSS number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."

  Risque: If a vehicle's shift cable disengages from the transmission shift lever, a driver may be unable to shift gear positions and the indicated shift position may not represent the gear position the vehicle is in. Should a disengagement occur while the vehicle is being driven, when the driver goes to stop and park the vehicle, the driver may be able to shift the lever to the "PARK" position, but the vehicle transmission may not be in the "PARK" gear position. If the vehicle is not in the "PARK" position there is a risk the vehicle will roll away as the driver and other occupants exit the vehicle or anytime thereafter. A vehicle rollaway increases the risk of injury to exiting occupants and bystanders.

  Correctif: General Motors will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace any affected transmission shift cable adjusters, free of charge. The recall began on April 10, 2014.
